why should this studio win? *Very interesting responses

Thousands of people across the world have now voted in the Reformer Pilates Studio Awards.

As part of the voting form, we asked people to score their studio across a few key areas, from instructors and facilities to community, value and overall experience.

We also added one optional open question:

Why should this studio win?

That has probably, nope, definitely been the most interesting part to read.

Again and again, the same words keep coming through:

Welcoming. Supportive. Friendly. Motivating. Inclusive. Caring. Positive. Beautiful.

But there were two phrases that really stood out.

ā€œChanged my life.ā€

And:

ā€œCommunity.ā€

They came up so many times.

It has been a good reminder that, for all the conversation around equipment, design, programming and business models, the studios that really matter to people are the ones that make them feel seen, supported and part of something.

That feels especially important in Reformer Pilates.

From the outside, the industry can sometimes look quite exclusive. Like you have to fit a certain profile before you even walk through the door.

But the feedback we are seeing tells a very different story.

People are talking about studios where they feel welcome, regardless of ability, age, body type or confidence level. Places where instructors know their names. Where they feel stronger, calmer, happier and more confident. Where the studio becomes part of their weekly routine, their wellbeing, and in some cases, their identity.

That is what the best studios are building.

Not just classes.

Not just memberships.

Not just nice reformers in a beautiful room.

They are building spaces that genuinely matter to people.

Reading the feedback has made me even more excited to celebrate these studios at the Reformer Pilates Studio Awards on 3rd June.

There are some incredible businesses in this industry, doing far more than they probably realise.

And their clients are making that very clear.
